In Buddhism the flower represents enlightenment. The stages of growth that the flower is in reflects on the stages of enlightenment that a Buddhist must achieve; when the flowers are closed it represents the time before a Buddhist finds enlightenment, and once the flowers bloom and the plant blossoms it represents reaching enlightenment.

We chose the beautiful and light Tanganika wood for the engraved mandala because we wanted to bring out the Lotus Flower to the centre. We choose our wood as carefully as clothing designers choose their fabrics. The Tanganika wood is carefully hand oiled for the look, feel and natural smell, with the most advanced coating available. It's completely natural with 0% VOC (volatile օրգանական compounds), the only such case in the whole world.
